I made this for our ward Christmas party. This was the tallest cake that I have made.
I especially loved the red, glittery snowflakes that I hung from wires and placed around the cake. It looked very whimsical.
The cake topper was a Christmas decoration that I had and added it to the top, I felt like it went really well with the topsy turvy look I was going for. Only the base is actual cake, the rest is cake dummies that I decorated with fondant. We just didn't need that much cake. My only complaint was the pink color....it was SUPPOSED to be red. I hate making the colors red and black, it is just so difficult to make. So I had to settle for a pinkish color. Oh well.
